Case Study: VCS CMS Website

Overview

Voluntary Community Service was set up to provide information about volunteering and voluntary working within the Cardiff area. As well as providing information about voluntary positions, the organisation provides an opportunity for volunteers to socialise and discuss matters of interest.

Requirements

Voluntary Community Service required a website that could regularly be updated as well as easily maintained by non technical people. Although the website needed to look professional, a completely unique website design wasn't a priority - with more focus being placed on the functionality including a news and events facility as well as a feedback form.

Solution

With VCS requirements in mind, it was considered that the Gemview Lite Content Management System (CMS) would be the most appropriate, so the following was implemented:

• Gemview Lite Content Management System (CMS)
• Optional news and events module and feedback form module
